Citizen Charter
Citizen Charter as a comprehensive document outlining the responsibilities, services, citizen rights, duties, and development activities of the Grama Panchayat. The document explains the efficient implementation of mandatory civic services such as sanitation, public health, drinking water supply, road maintenance, street lighting, and birth and death registration. It also highlights the Panchayat’s roles and responsibilities in sectors including agriculture, animal husbandry, education, social welfare, poverty alleviation, women and child development, and environmental protection. The charter further details the functioning of the Gram Sabha, public participation, the responsibilities of standing committees, and the powers and duties of Panchayat members.
